WOG: Machine Learning for Data Mining and its Applications

From 1 January 2002 until 31 December 2006.

Description

The purpose of the scientific research community on "Machine Learning Techniques for Data Mining and its Applications" is to bring together the Flemish and European expertise in these domains:

1) to develop a theoretical and methodological framework in which
2) the relative merits of the different ML-techniques for data mining can be understood,
3) to investigate how these different techniques can be combined to improve the overall performance, and
4) to see how they can be used for major applications like text mining and bioinformatics.
